Where the Bishop is, there let the multitude of believers be;
even as where Jesus is, there is the Catholic Church.
Saint Ignatius of Antioch, 1st c. A.D

Do not be afraid of Christ!
He takes nothing away, and he gives you everything.
When we give ourselves to him, we receive a hundredfold in return.
Yes, open, open wide the doors to Christ – and you will find true life.
Pope Benedict XVI
THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN
INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
We meet for the RCIA at the Church of the Annunciation Parish Centre
Library, and all groups are led by the priests and a qualified catechist.
Meeting times are Tuesdays at 7.00pm, from September to Easter.
ABOUT RCIA
The Journey in Faith groups are a warm, friendly and well established
method for individuals to learn about the Good News of Jesus Christ
our Lord and Saviour, and the Church's teachings.
The teachings and doctrines of our Faith are explained in a series
of talks, which are open to people of other faiths – and no faith –
who wish to know more about Catholicism.
These weekly talks are given to inform, enhance and deepen the faith,
and whilst many people do choose to become Catholics at the end of
the course, there is no obligation to commit to this step.
The power belonging to this divine food
makes it a bond of union.
Its effect is then understood as unity, so that,
gathered into his Body and made members of him,
we may become what we receive.
O Sacrament of love,
sign of our unity,
bond of our fraternity,
whoever long for life have here it’s very source.
Let them come here and believe;
unite with You and live.
Saint Augustine of Hippo
The difficulty of explaining why I am a Catholic,
is that there are 10,000 reasons all amounting to one reason,
that Catholicism is true.
G.K. Chesterton
